Sam is one month old today. How the time is flying already. Haven't weighed him recently, but he is getting pretty fat, has the cheeks of a trumpet player, soon they will overtake his whole face. He is getting into a rythm of being more awake during the day, less so at night, thank goodness, and we are working on getting him used to sleeping on his back instead of on a person. He loves looking at stuff, favourites being faces and horizontal lines (thank goodness we have tons of doors with slats around the place). Grandma had him smiling and giggling while she was here, I think I got a purposeful smile from him yesterday, but maybe it was just one of those fleeting smiles like he has in his sleep.
Ollie continues to keep us busy getting into lots of trouble, maybe we have too many rules. He has started singing a couple of songs, Twinkle Twinkle and the alphabet song (although with that one he doesn't get much past the first line), and continues to parrot pretty much every word we say. He talks all day long, but 90% of it we don't understand. He has learned to complain that his diaper or various items of clothing are "too tight", and the other day he came out of his bath, stark naked, complaining about "too tight, too tight". Maybe his skin got shrunk in the hot water.
