Work has been all good lately. First I got to go on the below-mentioned trip to Pasadena, then I got a check as a reward for getting a patent application for Ballard (not my first, but the first that was all my idea and only has my name on the patent), then I asked my boss for a new laptop (expecting a big fat NO for an answer) and he said yes without even blinking. What else should I ask for?
I keep thinking of lovely little tidbits to write about Sam and Ollie, then when I am finally at a computer or have some time I can't remember what any of them are. Sam has decided focus all his word-processing and pronouncing power on just two words: mine and no. He says them very well. Everything is mine and no. You can go through a whole list of foods, asking which he would like to eat, and he will say no to each and every one, even though he really would like have most of them. And he tries to claim everything as his - Ollie's stuff, Dad's stuff, he even grabbed my face with both chubby hands and said 'mine'.
Ollie's current obsessions are rockets and money. He really wants to buy a real rocket or space shuttle so we can go into space. We have explained that rockets are very expensive so he is determined to search for and save up all of the lost change in the world until he has enough money. So far he has 72 cents. He keeps it in a jar and takes it to bed with him.
