well Oli is turning into a fabulous napper, but it seems to be at the expense of good sleep at night. Since we got back from Ottawa we have settled into a schedule of 2 naps a day instead of 3, ususally 1.5 hours each (instead of 30 minutes), but sometimes even 2 hours. I shouldn't complain, but its hell on my schedule. By the time he gets up from the first nap (10:30 or 11), and we get a new diaper, some clothes, make lunch for both of us, feed him, get all our stuff together and get out the door, its often close to 12:30 and then we only have an hour before we have to get back to start the next nap. Then when he wakes up from the second it's almost dinner time and then its time to get ready for bed. Still it's better than short naps, hopefully it will last and is not one of those 2 week trends.
The night sleeping on the other hand is not so good. He is very easy to put to sleep now, no nursing required, most times we can just put him in his bed and he goes right to sleep, but he hasn't figured out that going back to sleep when you wake in the middle of the night is the same as going to sleep at the beginning of the night (duh!). It seemed like he was reducing his night wakings from 3 to 2, but now he is back to waking all the time between midnight and 6. I'm hoping it's just the teeth (he's got 4 top teeth coming all at once, and possibly 2 molars too), but I think its also habit.
Still not crawling, even though he is very good at getting on all fours and dragging himself around in a circle or scooting backwards. I guess I should be thankful for that too.
Must go, I have a date with a fussy boy and a swing. Don't know what we are going to do to get through the evening when it is too dark to go across the street to the park.
