Still hasn't got the hang of walking, although he tries very hard and practises every day. Has put himself on some kind of modified Atkins diet in which he only eats meat and vegetables at dinner, leaves the potatoes or pasta on the tray. He can't be my son. He has all of a sudden decided to use his hands and has learned to clap, and is making an attempt at some signs ('more', 'all done', possibly 'eat'). He will smash out a couple of notes on his four-key piano/xylophone and then applaud himself. He is back to getting himself up at 5:30 am this week, no matter what time he goes to bed, grrrr. Was greatly entertained for an hour yesterday following mum around as she vacuumed, one hand on the vacuum for support and occasionally turning the vacuum off by accident. Much better than before when he was scared of the vacuum. And lastly, his newest bath time game is to squeeze the plastic bath balls (small coloured balls like they have in the ball room at Ikea) between his fingers until they pop out from the force and go flying across the tub. Mum tried to do this too and it actually takes more strength than she has.
