Sam and I are at it again, fighting a cold that just won't go away. I think its been 10 days now and we both still have runny noses. Must be the heat. Boy is it ever hot - I moved out here to get away from this kind of weather. We've stocked up on fans, along with everybody else - I think there were only two or three left at the hardware store yesterday.
Sam has been scooting around like crazy; you turn around for a second and find he is halfway out the front door, off on an expedition. Here's a little movie of how speedy he is on his stomach:

He has been working on crawling for the longest time, getting on his hands and knees or even on his hands and toes like a yoga master, and finally on Saturday (just a day before turning 9 months) he crawled across the floor like a pro, no hesitation, as if he had always been doing it:
