3 months and a bit/almost 2

Both kids are developing like crazy. Sam continues his non-stop growth spurt, he's almost too big for the infant car seat (aren't they supposed to last til 6 months?) and he's definitely too big for the baby bath. He has been getting his thumb or fist into his mouth (on purpose) for a while now, and has started getting toys on the gymini into his mouth as well. Plus any kind of blanket or cloth you put on his stomach will make its way into his mouth. He had his first full blown cold, sneezing and snotty and hacking away, that was about a week of very poor sleeping as he woke himself up choking all the time. Now that it is mostly over with he is sleeping much better, at least during the day. Nighttime sleeping is still random, sometimes we have great nights, sometimes we're up four times.

Ollie is chattering away as usual, and loves to sing. He must know at least twenty songs, he seems to pick them up very easily. He can count to ten, maybe beyond - I've lost track. That is to say he can rattle the numbers off in order, whether he understands the concept is another matter. When asked to count objects he often counts the same ones over and over. When asked how many eyes dad has he will point to each and count 'one, two' and then add 'three' just for good measure. He can also sing the whole alphabet song and loves noticing and identifying letters (or 'ABCs' as he often calls them. He had the nasty cold first, brought it home and shared with everyone except me thank goodness for small mercies. He was home from daycare for three days with fever, and it messed up his sleeping pretty well, but he seems to be getting back on track. Although he still gets up way too early (between 5 and 6) and won't go back to sleep ever.

We are supposedly moving on the 9th of February, though apparetnly the buildings do not yet have an occupancy permit from the city, so keep your fingers crossed. The new address will be:

3782 Commercial St.
Vancouver V5N 4G2

I'm assuming the phone number will remain the same.
