what did I tell you?

Sam started trying to cruise the furniture yesterday - he made it about two feet from one arm of an easy chair to the other. He's so proud of himself too, when he gets himself pulled up to standing. He is also trying to climb up the stairs, gets one knee up then isn't quite sure what to do next. His other favourite activity is to take a small toy in each hand and crawl around the roon trying to put them up on things - furniture, the fireplace, whatever is around. He doesn't really distinguish between vertical surfaces and horizontal surfaces, so he doesn't have much luck getting the toy to stay up, but he is so pleased when he does.

Everybody but me is recovering from a mystery fever over the weekend - no other signs of illness, just a fever. Yet another sleep disruptor for Sam of course, but I think he is back to normal again.

Ollie is starting to enjoy bossing Sam around, mostly with regard to toys. We hear regular shouts of "no Sammy no!" when they are playing together. His other recent quirk is showing a decided taste in music in the car. He asks for specific songs to be played, or asks you to skip over ones that he doesn't feel like listening to at the moment. So far his favourites seem to be old school rap, German techno, and some farily experimental alternative pop. And Raffi of course, but he mainly gets left in the stereo at home.
