Well Sam is 10 months old and 5 days and doing great. Still not sleeping through the night, but takes great naps (2.5 hours this morning). Crawling all around at lightning speed, ususally heading for the door or the stairs. We discovered he was quite adept suddenly at climbing stairs when we found him halfway up the staircase the other day - yikes! He has added 'lalalalala' to his repertoire of sounds (the other is didadada).

We took Ollie to the tool store on the weekend to help me pick out a new drill and he charmed the sales staff so much they gave him a measuring tape and safety glasses for free. What he really wanted was a toy drill that moves and makes noises, no luck. He has worked out that sharing can work to his advantage - all the way home he asked if I would share my drill with him. So we got it out at home and I let him pull the trigger which was very exciting but also 'a little bit scary' he admitted. So cute. He has a little tool chest with some very tiny tools and when he plays with it he tells us that he is working.
