Sam slept until almost 7 this morning, and then decided he didn't need to nap until just now. I guess today is going to be a one nap day. Hopefully he will stretch it out for a couple of hours at least.

Ollie fell at daycare the other day onto a step and had the most gorgeous purple goose-egg on his forehead the size of his fist at least. Ade took some pictures, I'll try to post one soon. None of the other kids ever seem to have bumps and bruises, but they say he's not the worst they've had there.

Sam went for his first ride in the bike trailer on Tuesday. I don't know how kids can stand to sit in those bucket seats with a huge helmet on that pushes their head forward at the most uncomfortable angle. We're going to have to try some well-placed cushions so that I don't feel like I'm breaking his neck.

We watched Grease the other night (the courtyard in our complex has a big grey wall at one end and so the social committee organized an outdoor movie night - it was supposed to be sing-along, but nobody seemed to want to sing), and having been reminded of a couple of lines, Ade has now taught Ollie to respond to 'how are you?' with 'Peachy keen jelly bean'.

Ollie has informed us that he needs a bigger bike. At what age can you graduate from a tricycle to a two-wheeler with training wheels? I was thinking 4 or 5, am I wrong?

Get the boy a big bike. Vince has had his since February (2yrs 8mths)and loves it. One of his daycre pals (a bit older) is already riding it without the training wheels.
