Why do baby fingernails grow so fast? It seems like I have to clip them every other day, and its quite a chore to get it done without removing any finger. And why are his fingernails growing at such a prodigious rate when his toenails and hair have not grown at all?

Now don't get worried; I haven't given up on talking about sleep. He had two consecutive naps yesterday morning separated only by a 20 minute feed; he didn't really wake up til noon. Then he was very difficult to get to sleep at night but slept from 9:30 til after 5 (7.5 glorious hours!!!), then had a quick feed and slept til 7:30. Yay! He wouldn't be put down for a nap though this morning, wouldn't cry it out either, so I gave up and went to baby/mum drop-in.

He sure does love the drop-in, loves looking at all the other babies, and it's a big sanity saver for me too. We weighed him, he's up to 14 lbs 15 oz. I wish they had divided scales so you could weigh the head and body separately, I bet his gigantic head is 75% of that total.
