one track mind

I can tell already that I should have just called this "Ollie's sleep log", that seems to be our only focus.

Just as predicted, he has been making up for sleeping through the night by waking up more frequently on the subsequent nights. Oh well, he still does a good 5-6 hour period at the end of the night.

On the brighter side, we have discovered a nap time trick. Usually we have to walk him a bit on our shoulders to get him to fall asleep, but then if we try to put him down in his crib he immediately starts to cry. Turns out he's not even really waking up much, just enough to start crying, and if you leave him he falls back to sleep in a couple of minutes. I'm hoping this can be a sort of gentle way of starting to get him to go to sleep on his own without the walking, if we put him down in gradually more wakeful states. Wishful thinking on my part?
