Tip of the day: when buying a hat for an infant, make sure it has a chin strap, otherwise it won't stay on, even if said infant isn't trying to pull it off. Also those sunglasses with a strap instead of arms might seem like a good idea, but every time they turn their little head the glasses twist around and end up on the side of their face. You're better off just keeping the kid in the shade.

Ollie is such a giggly kid (when he is clean, dry, fed and rested - a combination which doesn't occur all that often). He first giggled at about 8 weeks, in response to his father jumping up and down and doing a little jig. We are apparently endlessly amusing. Now any kind of funny face or laugh from us will make him giggle, sometimes just being picked up will make him giggle, or a warm washcloth on his tummy is quite funny. You can't push it too far though, there is a very fine line between giggling and cranky fussing.
