Snow days

The wind storm and power outages were followed yesterday by a good snowfall (by BC standards at least). We were only supposed to get 5 cm in the morning, but everyone was surprised when it started snowing pretty heavily by 4 pm. I think we ended up with 15 or 20 cm, more than BC drivers can handle for sure. Anywhere there was a hill there was an accident. It took me an hour to get home (normal drive time is 15-20 minutes), but poor Ade got the worst of it. By the time he got to daycare (on top of a mountain), they were closing the main road down, and it took him two hours to get home. With two small boys in the backseat. Lucky we had replenshed the cookie supply in the glove box the day before.
