The illnesses jsut keep on truckin' around here. Sam had a cold late last week and has been pushing at least 4 molars, so he's been pretty miserable and hasn't been sleeping so well. Seems to be over the cold but is still working on those molars. Instead Ollie has the cold now. He was feeling kind of run-down last night, and woke up a couple of times during the night, but on the bright side he slept til 7.
In developmental news, besides pushing teeth, well there isn't very much. Sam continues to sign a lot but still doesn't talk at all. He is very good at the few signs we have been doing with him (more, milk, all done, eat) and obviously likes communicating, just not verbally. Its possible that he says baba in reference to bananas, but he says baba a lot of the time. Ade thinks he refers to me as baba, but like I said he says those syllables alot, that could be his one catch-all word. He is really enjoying music these days and loves to bounce up and down when there's a song he likes, and he likes to clap with clap-along songs. He loves trying to put on his own hat and his own shoes - more success with the hat. And he really loves wooden puzzles, gets so pleased when he gets a piece in right.
Ollie continues to love figuring out letters and how to spell things, he can almost spell out his name from memory, and has been overheard reading out letters to Sam from various things around the house, without making a mistake. He thinks some of the mail should be for him, and if he finds an 'O' anywhere on the envelope that is sufficient condition to indicate that the letter is actually addressed to him. He is also really interested in finding out how to say various things in French. Often as we are driving along he will ask how to say a string of things in French. I don't think his retention is too good though, must start making a habit of speaking in French more often to both of them. That kind of fell by the wayside after Ollie was only a few months old.
